Optimal Game Settings
Each game runs differently for every desktop. We understand how frustrating it is to figure out which game setting works the best. So instead of fiddling with your graphic settings looking for the best image quality and performance level, all you have to do is adjust your game to our recommended settings based on your system configurations.

What do our recommendations mean?
Our recommended settings aim to maximize image quality while
still being able to maintain a high level of performance.  Our
“Optimal Setting” is what setting we think you’ll play the game
at for a fluid frame rate (FPS), while maintaining as much
graphical detail as possible. These recommendations are
typically based on preset detail levels in-game. Refer to the
chart for the exact settings. Keep in mind that each system
at its default configuration, changes to the configuration
may affect performance.

What is frame rate or FPS?
FPS (aka “frame rate”) measures the number of frames
rendered per second in a particular game. For practical purposes,
this is a measure of the “playability” of a title on a system with
a given set of detail settings. Typically, games running at lower
than 20 FPS are unplayable at those graphics settings, and
average frame rates above 40-50 provide very fluid gameplay.

What affects FPS?
FPS is affected by the hardware installed in a system, the detail settings the game is being run at, and the number of background programs running on the system. For hardware, the system’s video card and CPU have the largest affect on a system’s FPS score in a particular game. Turning down the detail settings or resolution for a game will increase the frame rate, but look less realistic.
